Please comment: Are there other sources you like?

Here are news stories that you find most important right now:

Issues regarding the presidential election in the United States interests three of you.

Syria, environmental issues, and nuclear issues [North Korea's nuclear testing,
Myanmar's ratification of Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT)] interested two students each.

However, one of you is also interested in the refugee problems in Europe (related to Syria) and ongoing nuclear power plant issues in Japan (related to nuclear issues).

Other important stories of interest include important domestic issues in Japan:

Territorial issues
US military bases in Okinawa
Typhoon damage this summer
The move of Tsukiji Fish Market

Please comment: Which of these you think is the most interesting and why.

  1. Hi I'm Masato and I'm intersted in territorial issue. The reason that I'm interested in the issues is related to my experience in this summer. As You might know,I went to South Korea. and there I came to realize Korean think more seriously than Japanese about the territorial issue”dokdo”.first of all, ordinary Korean claim the dokdo rights. in subway there are some ads that shows us dokdo is Korean.and I heard that almost most of children go to dokdo museum and they are put the territorial idea into thier mind.so I made a lot of korean friends but when it comes to the dokdo issue, this made them serious even though they should have drunk too much.

  2. Hi. I mostly use nikkei shinbun, so I don't have any other specific resource I use other than that. I'm interested in the U.S. presidential election. The U.S. has been one of the powerful nations in the world, and their influence to the world is enormous. Both Trump and Clinton have some issues like Trump is racist to sex and skin color, and Clinton is having a health problem and the email issues. Despite of their images, either of them will be elected and there will be a great impact to the world's politics and economics, so I would like to see how the U.S. citizens would choose and vote for their future president.

  4. Hallo, I'm Kohei Shimizu. There is no other tools to gather information.
And I'm very interested in Syria issue, because there are a lot of background like history, it is too difficult to know what is happening in Syria. Certainly it seems that Japan is not related to the problem, but I think we Japanese also have responsibility to solve the problem by the best method.

  5. Hi I 'm Mai Takano.
Recently,l found new internet sources. Those names are Japan tinesST,learning English and News on Japan.com.
I am interested to compare the life styles of Japan with the world life styles. Especially, l' m interested about the social progress of women and women who are active on a worldwide scale.
Because now, the japanese government reforms Working-Style including promotion of active social participation by women. Recently the woman first governor of Tokyo was born. Her name is Koike Eiko.
But it is not completely yet the society where women can play an active part. So I study to learn about this problem more.
