According to Asahi Sinbun, it is said
that 79% of Japanese people have their own opinions, agree or disagree
about TPP. However, 80% of them answered No when they were asked
whether the Japanese government gives us enough information or not. Then
I came up with one question that "how can they judge the social
issues?" or "how can they have their opinions about those?" So I used
TPP as an example, and explained how you should have your own opinions
about social issues.
Every
issues happening in the world have positive and negative sides. The
important thing is to look at both sides especially negative sides when
you think about your opinions like agree or disagree.
Now,
it is said that Japan may probably join TPP. If we join TPP, they have
many good points, but also bad points. I picked some negative points
like food problems, self sufficiently rate, medical problems, and ISD
problems.
Her explanation was clear to me and I could understand TPP news in English
ReplyDeleteBy the way, why you didn't discuss about industrial problem?
The first question is that do we japanese really know about the issue?? I bet that many Japanese doesn't even know what TPP stands for. If we overcome those things, then we are able to think the pros and cons about the issue. This is only my opinion.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rika!! Your presentation was wonderful and also inspiring.
I thought the Asahi Shinbun's survey was interesting and her point of view was very good.
ReplyDeleteWhen we see or hear some news, I think we tend to be caught by one side.
But I realizeed again it is important to see it from verious persrectives.
I was impressed at her main idea " How can they judge social issues?"
ReplyDeleteThat would be also really important since we are surrounded by so much information.
I 'm happy to get new point of view.
Also, her presentation was visually so easy for us , so very good presentation!
Thank you Rika!
